Tracking your finances and credit reports has never been an easy task. Thankfully, there are a number of data aggregation and analytics services that can help you get a better insight into your finances including bill payment, expense tracking and investment management, Yodlee being one of them.

However as good as the service is, it runs into the occasional bug and glitch from time to time. In this article, we’re talking about why Yodlee is not working for you and the solutions you can try to fix the problem.

Why is Yodlee not working?

There are a number of reasons why Yodlee might not work for you. Some common causes include:

  • Internet connectivity issues.
  • Incorrect login credentials
  • Yodlee services are down or experiencing heavy loads.
  • Problems with your bank or payment aggregator.

How to fix this?

Here are three fixes you can try out.

Check your internet connection

You need a stable internet connection to be able to access and use Yodlee services. Check to see if your device has an active internet connection. If you’re connected to a WiFi network, ensure you have enough signal strength and speed. If you’re on mobile data, check to make sure that you’ve got good network coverage and that it’s actually enabled.

Check your credentials

A website or service might block you from logging in if you’ve entered the wrong credentials far too many times. This is a security measure meant to keep your account safe from brute force attacks that keep trying password combinations until one works.

Clear your browser’s data

Corrupt files in your cache or otherwise can cause this error as well. Clear them out to see if you can get the site to work.

Step 1: Type in chrome://settings/clearBrowserData in your browser’s address bar and hit Enter.

Restart the browser and try opening the website again now.

Wait for some time

There’s a good chance that the site or service that you’re trying to access is undergoing maintenance or is otherwise down at the moment. Try waiting for up to 24 hours to see if the issue is resolved before moving on to other troubleshooting steps. Alternatively, you can check Yodlee’s server status on third-party websites like Downdetector or Updownradar.
