Apple launched its Independent Repair Provider program, which aims to provide training and genuine parts to more certified independent technicians, in August 2019 in USA, and has now expanded it to Canada and 32 countries across Europe.
The repair program is free of cost, which will also certify individuals free of cost, and will give them access to Apple-genuine parts, tools, training, repair manuals and diagnostics at the same cost as Apple authorised service providers (AASP) buy them.
At the time of launch in USA last year, the individual repair providers were intended to complement over 5,000 authorised service providers worldwide. Apple has announced that since its launch, the independent repair provider program has certified 700 independent repair locations for out-of-warranty service.
Anyone looking to verify whether a business is a certified independent repair provider can do that here.

“We are thrilled to expand our independent repair program to more locations across the US and to businesses across Europe and Canada,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. “When a customer needs a repair, we want them to have a range of options that not only suits their needs but also guarantees safety and quality so their iPhone can be used for as long as possible.”
Any companies — barring Apple parts resellers and distributors — in Canada and EU looking to perform out-of-warranty iPhone repairs can apply to the Independent Repair Provider program by filling the application form here and emailing it to IRPapplicant@apple.com.
You can get more details about independent repair program and see if your country is eligible on Apple’s official support page here.
At the time of the programs launch in US last year, the tech titan had also said that their authorised service centres are available in all Best Buy’s across USA and the total number of AASPs has tripled in the past three years in the country.
