BattleBit Remastered, a multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) reminiscent of Roblox with gameplay elements inspired by Battlefield, has taken the gaming community by storm since its release on Steam.

Priced at an affordable $15, the 254-player BattleBit Remastered has quickly climbed the charts, securing its position as the best-selling paid game on the platform, trailing only CS:GO in the global top-tier list.

Furthermore, it has earned a spot among the top ten most-played games, outperforming popular titles like Warzone 2, Starfield, and PUBG. The success story is a testament to the four-person team at OkiGames, who have dedicated seven years of development to BattleBit in various forms.

BattleBit Remastered currently sits at the second spot among Steam’s Top Sellers list, above COD, PUBG and FIFA 23

Upon playing BattleBit Remastered, it becomes evident why the game has become an instant hit. This remarkable FPS offers a surprisingly deep gameplay experience, combining the scale, vehicle mechanics, and distractibility comparable to that of Battlefield with realistic military simulations inspired by Squad. Features such as proximity chat, the ability to build defensive structures, the need to bandage wounds, and the exclusive healing ability of the medic class provide a level of depth rarely seen in multiplayer shooters.

One of the most impressive features of the BattleBit Remastered on Steam is its seamless performance. Despite a few server resets to accommodate the overwhelming demand from over 28,000 concurrent players, the game has experienced a smooth launch.

Movement is quick and responsive, and the shooting mechanics are enjoyable. The game’s sprawling maps offer ample space for strategic manoeuvring, allowing players to break away from intense firefights and launch flanking manoeuvres.

Compared to the demanding hardware requirements of popular FPS titles like Battlefield, BattleBit Remastered stands out with its low-polygon visuals and surprisingly low system requirements.

The game’s product manager, Twelve, attributes the impressive scale achievable in BattleBit to its low-ploy look, alongside the tireless programming efforts of lead developer Oki. The game’s accessibility, even on modest systems, is a major advantage likely to contribute to the long-term success of OkiGames.
