Soundcloud is a music sharing platform where you can follow other users and check out their public playlists and albums and vice-versa. However, given the millions of users on the platform, it’s likely you’ll come across some who don’t share the same taste as you and instead of getting into an online altercation, Soundcloud gives you the neat feature to block people on the song-sharing platform.
In this article, we will guide you through how to block someone on the Soundcloud’s website and mobile app in a few simple steps.
Blocking someone on the Soundcloud app
Launch the Soundcloud app on your device and follow the steps below to block someone.
- Tap on the Library option and then in the library tab tap on the Following option.
- Under the following tab, you will see all your followers. Tap on the follower you want to block.
- On the next screen, tap on the Meatball (triple horizontal dots) icon beside the Following tab.
- In the menu that appears, tap on the Block user option at the bottom of the menu.
- A confirmation box will appear, tap on the Block option.

Blocking someone on the Soundcloud website
Login to your account on Soundcloud.com on any browser on your PC and follow the steps below to change your playlist to an album.
Step 1: Click on your Profile name tab beside the Notification (bell) icon in the tab bar at the top of the screen and then click on the Following option in the drop-down menu.
Step 2: Under the following tab, you will see your followers list. Click on the user you want to block.
Step 3: The selected user’s profile will open. Click on the Meatball (triple horizontal dots) icon at the right corner below the background image of the user and then click on the Block (username) option in the dropdown menu list.
Step 4: A confirmation box will appear. Select the option to remove the user’s comments, reposts and likes on your tracks and if you want to report the user for spam you can select the checkbox beside that option.
After you’re done, click on the Block (username) option at the bottom-right corner of the box.
