How to change the proofing language in Microsoft Word?
To change the proofing language in Word, follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Start Microsoft Word and then go to Options.Step 2: Next, choose the Language setting in the new window.Step 3: Under the Office authoring languages and proofing heading, choose the language. You can download additional proofing languages by clicking on Add a language button. Then, select the language and click on Install. Remember, to save all your Word data first.

How to change proofing language on Word Android app?
If you are using the Word app on a smartphone, here are the steps to change the language:
- Open the Word app and then tap on the Edit icon.
- Now, select the Review option.
- After that, choose Proofing and Language option and then select the language.
The display language of the Word app is the same as that of your device. You will have to change your device’s language option, and it will automatically change the default language of the Word app.
How to change default input language in Word?
Word uses the same input language that has been pre-set on your PC. For example, if the default language setting on your PC is Hindi, then the default input language in Word will be Hindi. To change the input language, you will have to set the language on your PC.
