OpenAI has just released a series of beta update features for ChatGPT Plus members. The company added an ‘All Tools’ feature offering access to all GPT-4 features without the hassle of switching between each one of them.
Another addition to the ChaGPT subscription is the ability to upload files and work with them. Subscribers can now seamlessly integrate documents into their conversations with the chatbot. Once a file is uploaded, ChatGPT takes a moment to process the data and becomes ready to assist with tasks like summarising data, answering questions, or even generating pictures based on user prompts.
The system intelligently adapts to user context and selects the most relevant mode automatically. It significantly streamlines the user experience reducing the need for manual adjustments.
OpenAI’s ChatGPT has gone beyond traditional text-based functionality. Users have demonstrated its capability to process various forms of data, including images. Users on Twitter have reported just feeding the file in the chat prompt and letting the AI process it. After a few seconds, ChatGPT is ready to answer the queries and work with the file.
This move of ChatGPT can be seen as an attempt by the Microsoft-backed OpenAI to sideline third-party add-ons and further streamline user experience.
These new additions have generated quite a buzz ahead of the OpenAI’s DevDay conference scheduled on November 6th.
In March this year, OpenAI released GPT-4 which accepts texts and images as input. OpenAI further enhanced the features in September and released image and voice integration in the application. Users can take a photo of the landmark and then ask questions with the chatbot. The AI will then process the image and will provide the answer.
Although the above features are useful, it has raised some eyebrows in the cybersecurity world.
