Chrome is by far one of the most popular browsers availbale at the moment. However, just like everything tech, it also suffers from bugs and glitches from time to time.
In this article, we’re talking about images disappearing after loading in Chrome and how you can fix the problem.
Try another browser
One quick workaround for the problem is that you can try a different browser for the time being. This won’t fix the problem with Chrome, atleast not until the next update rolls out, but can help you get the job done.
Check the content settings
Check to make sure Chrome is set to load any image content that webpages serve and display.
Step 1: Go to Chrome’s image settings at the following URL
Step 2: Make sure that Sites can show images is enabled under Default behaviour.
Restart Chrome and try again.
Corrupt or malfunctioning extensions often cause a lot of problems, including this one.
Head over to chrome://extensions and try disabling all your extensions to check if the browser starts functioning as normal again; if it does, enable them one by one until you have all the essential extensions working again.

Now refresh the page you were on, and the Chrome images disappear after loading error should be fixed.
Check for updates
If the issue is in Chrome itself, chances are developers might release an update to fix the problem. Regardless, you should always make sure you’ve got the latest version of the browser installed to avoid running into problems that could otherwise be avoided.
Head over to chrome://settings/help and make sure you’re on the latest update. If you’re not, update immediately and try again.

Clear your browser’s data
Corrupt files in your cache or otherwise can cause this error as well. Clear them out to see if you can get Chrome to work.
Step 1: Type in chrome://settings/clearBrowserData in your browser’s address bar and hit Enter.
Step 2: Select the cache and cookies options and make sure the Time range is set to All time. Click on the Clear now button to clear out all the data.
Reset your browser
Resetting Chrome can fix all sorts of random bugs and glitches with the browser.
Step 1: Head over to chrome://settings/reset. Click on Restore settings to their original defaults.
Step 2: Chrome will show you a warning prompt. Click on Reset Settings, and your browser will reset to default settings.
This should get the images loaded up again. The Chrome images disappear after loading error should be fixed.
Change the DNS
There are multiple free DNS providers using whom you can fix this issue. In this example, we’re going to use Google’s DNS.
Step 1: Press Windows key + I to open the Windows settings and click on Network & Internet.
Step 2: Click on Change adaptor options.
Step 3: Right-click on your active network (WiFi or LAN) and click Properties.
Step 4: Find Internet Protocol Version 4 in the list, click on it and then click Properties.
Step 5: Check the Use the following DNS server addresses radio button and type in 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206 in the preferred and alternative DNS addresses, respectively.
Now restart Chrome and try again.
Rename the Chrome data folder
Renaming the Chrome data folder will force Chrome to reload all the assets its needs, refreshing all the images at the same time.
Step 1: Press Windows key + R to open the Run prompt. Type %localappdata% and press enter.
Step 2: Navigate to the following directory
Step 3: Find the Default folder and rename it anything you want.
Now relaunch Chrome and the Chrome images disappear after loading error should be fixed.
