Considering just how far-reaching currently popular social media platforms are, it’s hard to avoid the content moderation and serving algorithms that have messed up our feeds from the creators we’d like to see to the creators that the app thinks we should see.
BeReal is an app to counter this new practice by pinging its users to take a photo with their back and front camera simultaneously and posting it at a random time asked by the app. This is a rather fresh way of keeping in touch with your friends and knowing what’s going on in their lives.
However, if you gave BeReal a try and don’t think it’s for you, we’ll be discussing how you can delete your BeReal account in this article.

Deleting BeReal accounts
Deleting a BeReal account is a rather simple process, just follow these steps. Keep in mind that they apply to both Android and iOS versions of the app. Unfortunately, you can’t access or delete your BeReal account from the web yet, so we’ll have to use the app.
- Open the app and tap your profile picture in the top right.
- Tap the three vertical dots in the top right.
- Tap Contact us.
- Next up, tap Delete my account.
- BeReal will ask for confirmation as well as the reason why you’re deleting your account (optional). Simply tap Yes I’m sure and you’re good to go.
Keep in mind that all your BeReal data will not be deleted immediately after you delete your account. The platform might take up to 30 days to delete your account and all data associated with it, as stated in its privacy policy.
