EA, or Electronic Arts, makes some of the finest video games in the world for a variety of platforms and across a variety of genres. However, as good as these games are, they’re not perfect and run into issues occasionally.

In this article, we’re talking about the EA app error code EC10000, its causes, and what you can do to fix the problem.

What causes the EA app error code EC 10000?

Here are eight fixes you can try out.

Power cycle your router

Restarting your router can fix a bunch of seemingly random issues with your network, which could, in turn, be causing problems with EA. If you don’t have internet connectivity or an active connection, you’re going to get such issues on EA. So try restarting your router to rule out any network issues that may be causing problems.

Check EA servers

Another thing you should do is check whether or not the service itself is working or not. EA is used by millions across the globe, and the occasional outage here and there isn’t anything surprising.

Check the Windows Firewall

It’s also a good idea to check whether your Windows Firewall is blocking EA’s connection to its servers. If your firewall is improperly set up or has blocked EA, it won’t be able to connect, giving you this error.

If the above command doesn’t help, try entering these commands in the Command Prompt one at a time.

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

If you suspect an issue with your router’s DHCP assignment, use these commands to release your old IP and request a new one.

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

If this doesn’t work, use the following commands to reset your network stack.

nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int ip reset C:\resetlog.txt
netsh winsock reset

Once the stack is reset, restart your PC and try again.

Update your OS

Ensuring your OS is up to date can go a long way in resolving uncalled-for errors in third-party programs, including Steam. Developers usually diagnose these issues based on insider reports or customer feedback and issue fixes or patches in the form of updates. Check to ensure you’ve got the latest update installed on your system.
