Anti-cheat error 30005: Quick Fix

Online video games are all the rage these days, and with the number of players increasing by the day, the number of hackers is also increasing. Hacking has become a pressing issue in pretty much all competitive games these days, and that’s exactly why almost every game has its anti-cheat system in place. 

In this article, we’re going over anti-cheat error 30005 and giving you x fixes to solve the problem. 


Remove the sys file

Removing Easy anti-cheat’s system file and launching your game again can help resolve this error. All you have to do is open the file explorer, head over to the Easy anti-cheat installation folder and deleted the EasyAntiCheat.sys file. Once you’re done, try launching the game you were trying to play, and the error should be gone.

Repair the game service

Another thing you can do is repair the game service by running the Easy anti-cheat client manually. Here’s how.

Step 1: Navigate to the folder where you’ve installed Easy anti-cheat and double click the EasyAntiCheat.exe file to run the client. 

Step 2: Select your game from the drop-down list and click Repair Service. 

Once the process is complete, try running the game again to see if your issue was fixed. 


Restart the Easy anti-cheat service

At times the background service running the anti-cheat can experience issues and crash on its own, causing the anti-cheat program to stop working. Manually restarting the Easy anti-cheat service can also help fix the problem.

Step 1: Press Windows Key + R to open the Run prompt. Type services.msc and hit enter.

Step 2: Find the EasyAntiCheat service. Right-click it and select Stop.

Step 3: Return to the Services Console and restart the EasyAntiCheat service in step 2.
