As fun as multiplayer games are, sometimes they’re also a big headache. Connection issues and server outages are nothing new when it comes to online games so it should be no surprise that they have their own error codes as well.
In this article, we’re talking about Lost Ark error code 30005 and giving you seven fixes for the problem.
Repair Easy Anti Cheat
If your game’s anti-cheat software isn’t working correctly, it can cause connection issues and other problems. All you have to do is head over to your Steam library folder, find the Lost Ark directory and you’ll see the Easy Anti Cheat setup file inside the Binary/Win64 folder. Run the installer to repair the program and try launching your game again.

Disable Antivirus
Intrusive third-party antivirus software often detect game files as false positives and quarantine or delete them causing games to stop working. Try disabling your antivirus and running the game again to see if that solves your problem.
Disable VPN
If you’re using a VPN while gaming, some games can experience issues due to geo-restricted content policies. If you’re on a VPN, disable it and try running the game again. It should work just fine. The same goes for any firewalls you might have as well.
Restart the Easy Anti Cheat service
If the anti-cheat is installed fine but isn’t running properly, that’ll still cause problems for you. Here’s how to restart the service.
Step 1: Press Windows Key + R to open the Run prompt. Type services.msc and press enter.

Step 2: Scroll to find the Easy Anti-Cheat service and double click it to proceed.

Step 3: In the Startup type dropdown, select Automatic. If the service is stopped, click the Start button to activate the service manually. Click Apply and OK when done.

Now try launching your game again and it should work just fine.

Verify Game Files
Corrupted game files can often lead to issues like this, not just in Lost Ark, but in other games as well. Luckily, Steam has a built-in feature that verifies your game files and reinstalls any files that might be damaged. Follow these steps.
Step 1: Head over to your Steam Library, right-click on Lost Ark and select Properties.

Step 2: Head over to the Local Files tab.

Step 3: Click on Verify integrity of local files… and let Steam do its thing.

Now try launching the game again.
Repair Visual C++ Runtime
Repairing the Visual C++ Runtime library can fix any corrupt or damaged files triggering the error.
Step 1: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run prompt. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.

Step 2: Find the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime (2012 and onwards), select them and click the Change button. Follow along with the instructions to repair the library.

Restart your computer and try running the game again.
Update your PC
If nothing else works, try updating your PC. Updating your PC will, in most cases, update your drivers and fix any issues in the process.
