Clear Play Store cache and data
A cache is a storage mechanism, either hardware or software, used to store data temporarily in a device. The data is small in size and is such that it is frequently used by the cache client. The cache storage is different from the primary storage. It should be on a local drive and be readily available for the cache client.
Sometimes, the cache gets corrupted and clearing the cache might help. Here are the steps to clear the cache in Android:
- Open Settings and then tap on Apps.
- Next, tap on See all apps and then select Google Play Store.
- Once you are inside Play Store, tap on Storage and Cache.

If the first step did not work, then you should try and open Google Play Store on your computer and then log in with your account. Then, install the app on any of the registered devices.
Remember, you need to have access to your device as Google will send the confirmation code on that device. Once, you match the two codes — the one showing on your computer screen to that on the device, then your download will start.
Reinstall or update the app
You can uninstall the app and then reinstall a fresh version from the Play Store. Also, check for any updates. Usually, reinstalling fixes any minor bugs and glitches in the app.
