8 free games for PlayStation Plus members (August 2018)

Sony is gearing up for yet another month of free games for its PS Plus members. This time around PS4 users, who’re also PS Plus members, will get to play Lincoln Clay in Mafia III and enjoy the 4v1 horror game Dead by Daylight.

Sony has announced that PS Plus members will get a total of six games in August, two compatible titles each for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. PS4 member can also access the games meant for PS Vita — courtesy cross buy.

  • Deady by Daylight (PS4)
  • Bound by Flame (PS3)
  • Serious Sam 3 BFE (PS3)
  • Draw Slasher (PS Vita)
  • Space Hulk (PS Vita)

The first PS4 game — Mafia III — allows you to play as Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam Vet who comes back home after years of combat. When his surrogate family is wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through the Mafioso responsible.

The second one is a 4v1 — Dead by Daylight — in which one player takes on the role of the Killer and the other four players play as survivors. They have to try to escape the killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.

Bonus: PlayStation VR Game for PS Plus members

In addition to the aforementioned games, PS Plus members also get two bonus PS VR titles this month as from August 7 to October 2, they’ll be able to download and play Here They Lie free for their PS VR system.

PS Plus members also get Knowledge is Power from August 7 through November 6, free to play. Outsmart your opponents with a massive variety of trivia questions and tactical challenges. Be sure to have a compatible mobile device and companion app and you’ll be all ready to play!

Note that PlayStation 4 system, PlayStation VR and PlayStation Camera are required to experience VR functionality.
