Instant messaging app IMO, which is also a mini social network of sorts, has created a niche for itself in the crowded market with unique features such as public groups, topic and location-based chats, among other things for users across platforms — Android, Windows, iOS and Mac.
However, if you’re a private person, you might want to hide your last seen on IMO or even read receipts. Hiding last seen will omit the last seen timestamp from your chats with others and hiding read receipts means that your contacts won’t know if you’ve read their message. How to hide your last seen on IMO?
Follow the steps below to hide your last seen on IMO.
- From any tab, tap on the hamburger (triple horizontal lines) icon on the bottom-left of the screen or tap on the More option if you’re on the Explore tab.
- On the next page, tap on Settings.
- On the next page, tap on Privacy.
- On the next page, tap on Last seen
- Then tap on Nobody.
No one will be able to see your last seen on IMO henceforth. This might also mean that you won’t be able to see their last seen either.

How to hide read receipts on IMO?
Follow the steps below to hide the read receipts on IMO.
- From any tab, tap on the hamburger (triple horizontal lines) icon on the bottom-left of the screen or tap on the More option if you’re on the Explore tab.
- On the next page, tap on Settings.
- On the next page, tap on Privacy.
- On the next page, tap on Read receipts
- Then tap on Nobody.
Hereon, your read receipts will be hidden from everyone else on IMO. So, they won’t know if you’ve read their messages.
