Reset your Chromebook password without accessing your Chromebook

The password you use for your Chromebook is the same as your Google password. Therefore, if you decide to change your Google password using a device other than your Chromebook, it will also change the password for your Chromebook.

However, if you use your Chromebook to update your password, the device automatically syncs with your Google account. The new password takes effect right away. So, when you turn off your Chromebook and restart it, the updated password will be in effect.
