Clearing the browser cache on your Chromebook will get the job done. Other than that, you can also clear individual app cache’s if they’re acting weird.

Shortcut to clear the cache on Chromebook
The easiest way to get to the settings page that allows clearing cache on Chromebook is using the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + Backspace.

You’ll be redirected to the Clear Browser Data page. Here, make sure the Cached images and files option is selected and then click on the Clear Data button to clear the cache on Chromebook.

Make sure the Time range is set to All time.

Clear Chromebook cache via settings
If the keyboard shortcut to get to the clear data page isn’t working out for you, here’s an alternative way to clear cache on your Chromebook using the Chrome settings menu.

- Click on the triple-dot icon at the top-right of the browser.
- Then select More tools.
- Then click on Clear browsing data.
- You’ll be redirected to the Clear Browser Data page. Here, make sure the Cached images and files option is selected and then click on the Clear Data button to clear the cache on Chromebook.

Make sure the Time range is set to All time.

How to clear an app’s cache on Chromebook?
If an app is glitching, one of the quickest resolutions apart from restarting it is clearing the app cache. The process to clear an app’s cache on Chromebook is quite similar to Android’s. Follow the steps below to clear an app’s cache on Chromebook.
Step 1: Go to the Chromebook’s Settings and select Apps from the side panel. Then click on Manage your apps.

Step 2: Select the app you want from the list. We’ve selected Canva for this example.

Step 3: Then click on the More settings and permissions option.

Step 4: Then Storage & cache.

Step 5: Now click on the Clear cache button on the next page.

If you’re going to uninstall the app or want to log out, you can use the Clear storage option.
