Reddit is a top-rated site where people share opinions, ideas and advice in different communities called subreddits. The site has quite a broad user base, and you can get answers to just about anything in a matter of minutes. 

The thing with that is, you’re going to be blown away by notifications. Reddit also sends you an email for every notification you receive, which can mess up your inbox with unnecessary emails rather quickly.

Here’s how you can stop Reddit notification emails using the Reddit site.

Step 1: Open Reddit, log in and click on the notifications icon followed by the settings gear icon in the top right.

Stop getting emails from Reddit using the Reddit app

Reddit also has a smartphone app for Android and iOS devices that lets you access your subreddits, messages and posts from a smartphone. However, once you’ve disabled email notifications from your PC, you don’t need to do the same on your phone. 

Besides, the Reddit phone app doesn’t let users change email settings; you’re going to have to log into Reddit using a browser and follow the same steps mentioned above. You can, however, change what event on Reddit triggers a notification for you.

  • Now, tap the three vertical dots in the top right.
  • Tap Edit notification settings
  • Set your notification preferences accordingly.
