Turn off Instagram notifications (on Instagram app)
If you are using the Instagram app, follow the steps given below to turn off the notifications:
- Open Instagram and then tap on your profile icon at the bottom right of the screen.
- When you are inside your profile, tap the hamburger menu icon at the top right of the screen.
- Now, select the Settings and privacy option.
- Next, head to the Notifications option.
- In the Notifications option, turn on the toggle in front of the Pause all option and then select the time frame.
Note: The maximum time that Instagram allows you to pause the notifications is eight hours.
You can also turn on the Quiet mode option located just below Pause all. This will pause all the notifications for a specified time period that you will enter.

Turn off Instagram notifications (on Instagram website)
To turn off Instagram notifications on the Instagram website, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Head to your Instagram profile and click on Options. You will find the icon next to the Edit profile button.
Step 2: Next, click on Notifications.
Step 3: You will be directed to the Email notifications page. Here, turn off the notifications that you don’t want by clicking on Off.
Step 4: Now, head to Push notification and turn on the toggle in front of Pause all.
The maximum time limit that you can pause the notification on Instagram web is eight hours.

Turn off Instagram notifications (on Android)
If you want to turn off all Instagram notifications, follow these steps:
- Open Settings and then go to Apps > Instagram.
- Next, tap on Notifications and then turn off the toggle in front of All Instagram notifications.
