You want to turn your volume low or high, and the volume button of your iPhone isn’t working; it seems so frustrating, right? Well, the reason can be a hardware issue or a software glitch. Before going to a repair shop, here are six fixes that you can try to get your Volume buttons up and running.
Reboot your iPhone
Sometimes just rebooting your phone solves many issues. Try rebooting your iPhone using the power button, and it may solve the volume button issue.
You can also hard reset your iPhone by pressing your power and home button down.

Can you press your buttons?
Press your volume buttons. If you cannot press them, try removing your cover and then pressing the volume buttons. Sometimes, the cover causes a problem too. If removing cover solves your issues, then Voila, you are good to go. Else, you need to go to a repair shop.
Use the sound settings present in the Settings app of your iPhone
You can temporarily use the Sound setting present in your Setting app to turn the volume low or high.
Go to Settings and then tap on Sound. To adjust the volume, toggle the slider with your finger to the left or right, depending on whether you want to turn the volume low or high. If you slide it towards the right, the volume will increase and vice versa.
Update your iPhone
Do you have the latest software update installed on your device?

Upgrade your iPhone with the latest software update available. If any software issue or bug is there, updating your software can resolve it.

Use Assistive Touch
Assistive touch places a virtual button on your iPhone’s screen, which you can use to do the same functionality as you do through your physical iPhone buttons.
Follow the Steps given to enable Assistive Touch.

- Go to Settings and tap on Accessibility.
- Inside Accessibility, tap on Touch and then on Assistive Touch.
- Enable Assistive Touch.
A virtual button will appear. Now, you can use that virtual button to turn the volume on or off.
Get your phone repaired
If none of the above-mentioned fixes solves the issue, and your volume button still doesn’t work, then it is time to get your iPhone repaired. Visit any nearby repair shop to get your device fixed.
