What to do if it’s exposed to water?

If your iPhone gets exposed to water, use a lint-free cloth to dry it off gently. Then, tap it lightly with the Lightning port facing down to remove any extra water. Afterwards, position it before a fan with cool air blowing into the Lightning port.

It might take about 24 hours for your iPhone to completely dry. Apple advises against plugging it in until it’s entirely dry to prevent damage. Also, avoid using cotton swabs, paper towels, blow dryers, or compressed air to dry it out.
