Nord Security, renowned for its flagship product NordVPN, has unveiled NordStellar, a robust cybersecurity platform that empowers businesses to detect and respond to cyber threats efficiently.
NordStellar provides many features, such as dark web monitoring, to protect employee, brand, and corporate security. These include reducing the risks associated with ransomware, preventing unauthorised account access, identifying malware threats, detecting compromised credentials, and safeguarding against identity theft.
As the internet continues to proliferate, cybercriminals can easily exploit stolen credentials readily available on the dark web without needing advanced equipment or techniques.
“The new platform enables security teams to detect and respond to cyber threats aimed at companies before they become more serious. The multifaceted approach enhances businesses’ overall cybersecurity posture by promptly identifying and mitigating internal and external threats,” Vakaris Noreika, head of product for NordStellar, told Candid.Technology.
NordStellar is available as both a platform and an API, providing companies with visibility into threat actors’ activities and how they handle compromised data.
Nord Security has expanded its offerings lately. In December 2023, the company ventured into the cyber insurance market in the United States and the United Kingdom.
In January 2024, the company started testing Saily, an eSIM looking to capture this multi-billion dollar market. Finally, in March this year, Saily was launched for frequent business travellers and globetrotters.
The company unveiled Link Checker, a tool designed to detect malicious phishing websites. Nord Security introduced the experimental tool in January 2024. The tool assesses and displays a website’s safety status before a user opens it.
In March, the company also announced that its services are now available in over a hundred countries. This could be done by establishing over 6,200 NordVPN virtual and physical servers. Nord also introduced its first-ever virtual server in India in January 2024.
