Instagram is one of the most popular social media networks on the planet right now. The platform does an amazing job of finding out other people who you might know and connect you to them.
To do so, Instagram accesses a bunch of information on your phone, including your phone number and contact details to find out if your contacts are on Instagram. This also means that if you’re in someone’s contact list, you can be found rather easily, even if you would rather not.
In this article, we’re going to talk about how you can remove your phone number from your Instagram account. Do keep in mind that as a side-effect, you will lose two-factor authentication on your account so make your decision wisely.
