Roku Streaming Stick 4K unveiled alongside Roku OS 10.5

Roku has released Streaming Stick 4K, expanding its 4K streaming device lineup in UK. The portable streaming stick will retail for £49.99 and starts shipping in October 2021.

The Roku Streaming Stick 4K also boasts a redesigned WiFi receiver that promises double the range. People can stream in 4k with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ picture.

“The Roku Streaming Stick has been a fan favourite for years, and we’ve redesigned it in the Roku Streaming Stick 4K to be faster and more powerful than ever,” said Mark Ely, VP of Retail Product Strategy at Roku.

Roku Streaming Stick 4K unveiled alongside Roku OS 10.5

The company will roll out Roku OS 10.5 in the coming weeks. It brings voice improvements to help people to get to their favourite content quicker. It also brings a new home tab in the Roku mobile app and also a save list. Voice search and playback is also available for music and podcasts.

The OS update will also allow people to login to supported apps via their voice to enter emails, passwords, and PIN information.

Support for AirPlay 2, HomeKit continues. People can control the device using Siri or the Home app, alongside Google Assistant and Alexa.
