How to fix the error codes 4C and 4E?
Here are five fixes to resolve the Samsung error codes 4C and 4E:
Check the water hoses connected to your washer
The main cause of these errors is that the washer is not getting enough water, and the water hoses connect the taps to the washer, so the water hoses are the first to check when this error occurs. Follow the steps below to check the water hoses:
- Turn off the washer and then unplug its power cord.
- Move the washer a little, and make enough space to check the water hoses.
- Check the water hoses for kinks that might be blocking them, and check for any bends in the water hoses too.
- Make sure to check the water hoses are not loose.
Check water pressure and taps
Make sure that both hot and cold water taps are open to full, and then check the water pressure by removing the water hoses; if you have the equipment to measure the water pressure, then you must know that the required water pressure should be between 0.5 bar and 8 bar, it is possible that you are not getting enough water pressure.

Check the water hose mesh filter
The mesh filters filter the water, and it is possible they are clogged, so you must check the filters and then clean them properly. Samsung itself recommends cleaning the mesh filter twice a year.
Clean the dispenser drawer
The 4c error code is also shown by the washer when the dispenser drawer is blocked, which also stops the water from filling the washer; use good quality detergent because bad quality detergents make a lot of suds and that causes blockage in the dispenser drawer. So check the dispenser drawer and clean it, which might help you resolve the error.
Hard Reset the washer
If you have done all the above mentioned steps and the error persists, you might try hard resetting the washer. To reset the washer, turn off the washer, unplug the power cord, wait for at least 5 minutes, and then plug it back in.
If you are not comfortable doing these fixes on your own, you can take a technician’s help and contact Samsung support.
