Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming apps on the planet, with a bunch of features packed in apart from the obvious. You can share playlists, follow other users and even post your favourite songs to your Instagram story straight from the Spotify app.

However, one additional feature that Spotify throws your way is the ability to see song lyrics as their sung alongside your favourite songs. Now keep in mind that lyrics might not be available for all songs on the platform, but they’re available for pretty much all popular songs you’ll see here.

How to see Spotify lyrics on the mobile app?

If you’re listening to music on the Spotify app, which most people use the service anyway, follow these steps to check up on the lyrics.

  • Open Spotify and start playing any song of your choice. Tap the Now playing bar at the bottom of the screen once the song is playing. On bigger devices such as a tablet, tap the album artwork instead. 
  • Tap Lyrics and the app will start showing you lyrics as they’re being sung that is, if the lyrics are available. 

Tap the lyrics screen again for a full-screen view. 


How to see Spotify lyrics on the PC app?

If you’re using Spotify on your Windows or macOS device, follow these steps to see lyrics.

Step 1: Open Spotify and start playing any song of your choice.

Step 2: If the lyrics are available, you’ll see a small mic icon at the bottom. Tap it to show lyrics as they’re sung.
