Spotify is one of the world’s leading music streaming service and is available on just about any platform. From gaming consoles to smartwatches, you can run it on just about anything.
Sony’s PS4 is also included in this list. You can run Spotify on it (along with a host of other apps) and stream music directly to your console as you play your favourite games.

How to connect Spotify to PS4?
The process is actually surprisingly easy. Here’s what you need to do.
Step 1: Head over to the Playstation Store and download Spotify.
Step 2 Run the app from the main menu.
At this point, your PS4 should automatically log you into Spotify if the email used on your PSN ID and Spotify ID is the same.
Step 3: In case it doesn’t, Spotify will ask you to either login or sign up for free. Since we’re only linking our account, go ahead and click on Log in.
Step 4: You’ll see a list of instructions on how to link Spotify on your phone to Spotify on your Console. It requires your smartphone and console on the same WiFi network,
In case that’s not possible at the moment for you, there’s an option to login with your credentials as well.
Step 5: Now we’re going to head over to our Spotify app and link our console.
- Open Spotify and tap on the Spotify Connect icon.
- Select your Console from the list of devices that are available.
You’ll be asked to agree to terms on conditions on your console as well.

How to unlink Spotify from PS4?
In case you need to unlink the two accounts, the process simply involves logging out of Spotify on your console. Here’s how.
Step 1: In the Spotify app’s main menu, select and click on Account.
Step 2: You’ll see the logout button under your account name. Click on it to disconnect your account from the PS4.
