Star Citizen is an up-and-coming first-person game that combines combat and an in-depth economy to put players in an alternative universe where they fly around space looking for new things to do. However, as the game is still in development, it keeps facing errors and bugs from time to time.

What causes the Start Citizen entitlement processing error?

The entitlement processing error can keep players from using their bought or earned in-game items. There’s no specific reason as to why this might happen. However, some common causes include:

  • Internet connectivity issues
  • In-game bugs
  • Corrupt or missing game files
  • Issues with account status

How to fix the Star Citizen entitlement processing error?

Here are four fixes you can try out.

Restart the game

One of the first things you should do when you see this error is to try and restart your game. Restarting can fix a bunch of seemingly random issues that might cause problems with your gameplay.

Alternatively, you can also decide to just wait for a while before launching the game again. Star Citizen is still under development and random bugs and glitches are to be expected.

Check game files

Missing or corrupt game files can also cause this problem. Follow these steps to verify your game files.

Step 1: Open the Star Citizen launcher and head over to the Settings tab.

Step 2: Under the Library Folder section, click Verify.

This will check for any missing or corrupted files and download new ones in their place. Restart your game once the process is complete and you should be good to go.

Check account status

Try and check your account status to ensure there’s no problem with your payment method or anything else. This is especially important in case you made a purchase in-game and aren’t able to use it because the game doesn’t have the updated payment information required to validate the transaction.

Contact Star Citizen support

If nothing else works, reach out to Star Citizen support and have them investigate the issue for you. There’s a good chance that they’ll be able to validate a transaction or remove any restrictions that might be placed on your content.
