In the present era of digital advancement, financial technology has transformed how people handle transactions. Notable innovation in this field is the Virtual Payment Address (VPA), which has greatly simplified transferring money and making payments among digital payment platforms.

If you are new to PhonePe and curious about VPA, in this article, we have discussed VPA and how to find it on PhonePe.

What is VPA?

The Virtual Payment Address, commonly called VPA, is a special ID used in India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system. UPI, developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), is a fast, real-time payment system that allows users to transfer money between banks using mobile devices. It makes peer-to-peer transactions and merchant payments effortless.

The VPA acts as a replacement for your regular bank account details, giving an extra level of security and privacy to your financial transactions. Instead of sharing your bank account number and IFSC code with others, you can give them your VPA to send or receive money.

In simple words, VPA is another name for UPI IDs.
