Call of Duty, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, has been one of the most famous FPS game series in the history of esports. The series includes 16 main games with multiple side games. For their next game, the developers mention the new game as a reboot of an old classic and one of the most famous game in the series — the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which was released in 2007.
Activision has planned to release CoD Modern Warfare on October 25, 2019. The game will be available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is currently up for pre-orders. You can check more details about the pre-orders at the end of this article.
Bringing back a classic, Infinity Ward plans to reset the storyline and want to create a realistic world that looks inspired by the headlines bringing back the famous characters of the series like Captain Price. Modern Warfare will have a single-player campaign mode with multi-player modes and co-op missions. The single-player campaign will have missions in European cities and the Middle East. The player takes up the role of a soldier and will have other option of choosing to be a rebel freedom fighter to defeat Tier One enemies.
Gunfight: 2 vs 2 Multiplayer mode
Infinity Ward has also confirmed a new multiplayer mode, Gunfight, which is a 2 vs 2 fight in which the game will provide random weapons and will throw you in random small maps. The maps are so small that you need to finish your enemy in 40 seconds. After 40 seconds, there can be a capture the flag event or the team with maximum health will win.
The game will also feature a classic multiplayer mode and a new co-op mode.
