Everything we know about COD: MW 2019

Call of Duty, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, has been one of the most famous FPS game series in the history of esports. The series includes 16 main games with multiple side games. For their next game, the developers mention the new game as a reboot of an old classic and one of the most famous game in the series — the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which was released in 2007.

Activision has planned to release CoD Modern Warfare on October 25, 2019. The game will be available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is currently up for pre-orders. You can check more details about the pre-orders at the end of this article.

The Gameplay

Bringing back a classic, Infinity Ward plans to reset the storyline and want to create a realistic world that looks inspired by the headlines bringing back the famous characters of the series like Captain Price. The player takes up the role of a soldier and will have other option of choosing to be a rebel freedom fighter to defeat Tier One enemies.

Gunfight: 2 vs 2 Multiplayer mode

Infinity Ward has also confirmed a new multiplayer mode, Gunfight, which is a 2 vs 2 fight in which the game will provide random weapons and will throw you in random small maps. The maps are so small that you need to finish your enemy in 40 seconds. After 40 seconds, there can be a capture the flag event or the team with maximum health will win.

The game will also feature a classic multiplayer mode and a new co-op mode.

Gunsmithing: Weapon customisation

The reprised 2019 edition of Call of Duty Modern Warfare will also have a new weapon customisation option called Gunsmithing, through which players can customise their primary and secondary weapons.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 | Features, price and pre-orders

Note that this feature will only allow five upgrades to a particular weapon even if there are further options available. It will make sure the player chooses the most valuable upgrade.

Crossplay Feature

Call of Duty will has a cross-play feature that will allow gamers to play the game together across different platforms — PC and consoles. — making this the first CoD game to have this feature. Activision developers have made an incredible move jumping on the cross-play bandwagon. Modern Warfare will be free of the season pass. Activision has decided to remove the season pass so that they can provide more free maps and content post-launch.

Digital Editions and Physical Packs

COD: MW 2019 will be available in three different digital editions: a special limited stock edition, the Dark Edition, and two physical editions. Digital Editions

The standard edition of the game will have the baseline of the story with minimum add-ons or features like an in-game tactical knife and access to early access to open beta. In the operator edition of the game, you will get all the features of the dark edition without the physical items. The operator enhanced edition of the game will provide you with an additional 3000 Call of Duty Points.

Physical Editions

The Night vision goggles that come with the dark edition of the game are a wearable gadget. They come with the game inspired decals and design details. It has three modes: A daytime running mode, Night vision mode, and a long-range IR mode. The range for IR mode is approx 65 feet (20 meters) in complete darkness. The goggles have adjustable straps to fit everyone. It also has plenty of buttons and sliders to adjust the settings on the glasses.

Pre-orders and launch

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 | Features, price and pre-ordersYou can play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare before October through the beta launch of the game. PS4 players will be the first one to get the pre-order beta and later other platforms will follow.

The second beta will have crossplay testing. The game will have “input matchmaking”, which will make matches according to the player’s playing device such as a controller or mouse and keyboard.
