Changing the cursor on a Chromebook can be a fun and personalised way to make your device feel more like your own. While Chrome OS doesn’t offer as much customisation as other operating systems, you can still change the cursor’s size and colour to suit your preferences.

In this article, we have discussed how to change the cursor on a Chromebook in a few simple and easy steps.

Change the cursor on a Chromebook

If you wish to change the Chromebook’s cursor, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open the Settings app on your Chromebook and click on the Accessibility option in the sidebar. On the right side of the screen, click on the Cursor and Touchpad option and then click on it.

Step 4: In the Cursor and Touchpad settings, you can change the size and colour of the cursor and you can also highlight the cursor when it’s moving. If you want to change some settings for mouse and touchpad then you can click on the Mouse and touchpad settings.

In the mouse and touchpad, you will find basic settings like mouse and touchpad speed and acceleration.

This is pretty much all you can do from the cursor settings on a Chromebook.

Use third-party apps

If you’re looking for even more cursor customisation options, you can explore third-party apps on the Chrome Web Store. These apps can provide additional cursor styles and effects beyond what the official settings offer.

To find these apps, open the Chrome Web Store, search for cursor customisation, and browse the available options. Remember that while these apps can enhance your cursor’s appearance, they may require additional permissions and may not be officially endorsed by Google.
