One of the most important, but often overlooked parts of keeping an account secure is the password. It’s important that you don’t repeat your passwords across online service and also change them occasionally to ensure your account’s safety.

Changing Discord password via its app

Launch the Discord app on your Android or iOS device and follow the steps mentioned below to change your account password.

• Tap on the profile tab at the bottom-right of the app.
• On the User Settings page, tap on My Account.
• On the next page, tap on the Change Password button.
• On the next page, enter your current password, followed by the new password in the respective boxes.
• Then click on the Save (Floppy Disk) icon at the bottom-right of the app screen.

Your Discord password will now change. You can log out of your account and try logging back in to ascertain that the password has been modified.

Changing Discord password on PC

Login to your account at Discord.com and follow the steps mentioned below to change your Discord password.

Step 1: Click on the Gear (Settings) icon at the bottom-left of the page, to the right of your name located at the bottom of the chat box.

Step 2: On the My Account page, click on the Edit button towards the top-right.

Step 3: Then click on the Change Password? link below Current Password.

Step 4: A new box with the heading New Password will appear. Insert your current and new password and click on the Save button at the bottom-right of the box.
