Email is unarguably the most important component of keeping your account on League of Legends secure as well as helping retrieve it in case you happen to forget the password.
If you’ve switched to a new email address and would like to continue playing LOL in the future without any issues whatsoever, you should consider changing your email in your account settings as well to help safeguard your account from future login issues as well as keep it secure.
Riot has streamlined the process of accounts and global logins to the game and so now instead of region-based account, they’ve switched to global account, so you don’t need to go to the region-specific login URL anymore but you can access a League of Legends account created on any region using a single link.
