How to change margins for a single paragraph in Google Docs?
To edit the margins of a single paragraph of your document set your margins in the ruler that appears below the toolbar in your document.
If the ruler is not visible in your document then follow the steps the below to enable the ruler in the Google Docs.
- Click on View from the options at the top.
- Then in the menu click on Show ruler option to enable ruler in your document.

How to change margins for the whole Google Doc file?
Step 1: Click on the File option on the top left corner of the screen just below the title of the document. Then in the menu that appears, click on Page setup option.
Step 2: Page setup screen will appear, change the margins for the top, bottom, left and right of your document, as per your preference. After editing all the settings for the page click on the Ok button at the bottom-right corner of the box.
On the same page, you can change the orientation of your pages in the file, edit the page size and colour of your document. If you think that you’ll need these preferences more frequently then you can set them as default for Docs by clicking on Set as default option at the bottom left corner of the page setup screen.
