Corsair announces AMD-based gaming laptop with a built-in Stream Deck

Corsair has announced its first gaming laptop, called the Voyager a1600 AMD Advantage Edition. The laptop features an AMD Ryzen 6000 series processor paired with Radeon RX 6800M graphics.

While the rest of the laptop seems rather usual for gaming laptops, what’s special here is the built-in Stream Deck above the keyboard.

Corsair has partnered with Elgato to add ten customisable S-key shortcut buttons like a Stream Deck. The buttons are touch-sensitive and can be customised by the Stream Deck software and let users control different actions or launch programs at the tap of a button.

There’s a 16-inch 16:10 2560×1600 display donning the laptop running at 240Hz. The IPS panel also supports AMD FreeSync Premium, so screen tearing shouldn’t be a problem considering the RX 6800M inside.

Cooling is handled by a vapour chamber cooling system allowing for better thermal performance with a lower profile. There’s a 1080p 30FPS webcam up top with a four-microphone array with ambient noise cancellation. The keyboard uses Cherry MX ultra-low-profile mechanical switches with per-key RGB backlighting using Capellix LEDs.

However, the Stream Deck integration isn’t the only unique thing about this laptop. An integrated receiver is built into the laptop that lets you connect up to three Corsair Slipstream Wireless peripherals without plugging any external receivers and tying up USB ports. The laptop does get two Thunderbolt-3 enabled USB 4.0 ports.
