According to the Speedtest Global Index, “To be ranked in each category, countries must have at least 670 unique user results for mobile and at least 3,333 for fixed broadband.”

The average global average for downloads on Mobile was 23.64 Mbps (up from 22.99 Mbps last month) and 9.34 Mbps (up from 9.19 Mbps last month) for uploads.

How is this ranking done?
Data for the Index comes from the hundreds of millions of tests taken by real people using Speedtest every month.
Internet measurements made with Speedtest occur at the times and in the places that are most relevant to the person taking the test.
Each time a test is initiated, a snapshot of what the internet looks like in that place and time is recorded. When aggregated together, these individual experiences represent the typical internet performance for a given location.
