In Atlassian Jira, a board is an area that displays issues from more than one project into columns that represent the team’s workflow management system. The Jira board offers a shared view of the complete work, including the work that is not started, the work currently in progress and the work that is completed already. And we can delete a board from Jira that links to a project.
There are two types of boards in Jira – Scrum board and Kanban board. Both these boards have their own set of advantages and use agile methodology when implemented in the project. A scrum board uses iterative cycles known as sprints and provides real-time tracking and completion of the project. A Kanban board has a key focus on the project backlog and reporting on the project.
Both Individuals and corporate teams can create and use boards in Jira to support their projects or manage iterative and incremental delivery cycles. These boards are versatile and practical, allowing the users to streamline their work and optimize the flow.
There are two ways of deleting a board from your project:
Both methods will allow you to delete a Scrum or Kanban board from the project. But only Jira Admins have permission to delete a board from the project.
However, when we delete a board from the project, the issues and sprint cycles linked to the board do not delete by default. These issues and sprints are a part of the project and not of the project dashboard, and hence, they remain as is.
