With over 34 per cent market share in the UPI ecosystem, Google Pay is the second most popular UPI payment processing platform in India. Right from paying utility bills to topping up the balance on your Fast tag, there is nothing that Google Pay cannot handle.
With in-app biometric security, Google Pay offers a lot of security to its users. Still, it’s important to note that Google collects every transaction you make on Google Pay.
Although the Google Pay states that they do not use the data collected from Google Pay for marketing purposes, according to Google Pay terms, “You agree and specifically consent that we may collect, store, and use your personal data and any communications made through Google Pay, in accordance with Applicable Laws and our Privacy Policy.”
So, if you look at it, Google could use your transaction history in ways that do not include targeted advertisements. Therefore, you are in the right place if you think that Google has too much of your data and don’t want to give the advertisement mogul any more of it.
In this article, we will help you delete your Google Pay account and also guide you on how you can delete the transaction data Google has on you.
