How to screen share on Discord mobile app?

Discord has become a rather popular communications platform for a lot of people from different walks of life. An application that started as a gamer exclusive chat program has now evolved into a much more sophisticated communications platform that can now be used for anything. 

One of Discord’s special features on the PC app is the ability to stream your screen in a voice chat. This feature has now trickled down into the phone app as well, and users can stream their phone’s screen in Discord’s voice chats without a hiccup.

How to share your phone screen on Discord?

The whole premise of this feature is to make it immensely easy to use. Follow these steps to get your screen up on Discord in no time.

Make sure that you’ve joined the voice channel you want to stream your screen into before proceeding.

  • Once you’re in the voice channel, tap on the green bar at the top of your screen.
  • This will bring up an overview of what’s going on in the channel. Click on the screen share button at the bottom.
  • Discord will warn you against accidentally viewing sensitive data. Click on Start now, and the stream will start. 
  • You will see a message from Discord stating that your phone screen is being cast. At this point, you can minimise Discord and continue to show whatever it is that you want your audience to see.

How to stop streaming your screen on Discord?

Once you’re done, you can swipe down to open the notification bar and tap on the Stop Streaming button in Discord’s pinned notification to stop streaming.

Alternatively, you can head back to the voice chat screen and click the disconnect button to stop streaming.
