What causes this issue?

Here are the common reasons that might affect the Eufy app’s functionality:

  • Poor internet connection.
  • Temporary glitches.
  • Corrupted cache.
  • Issues with the system files of the app.

How to fix the issue?

Try these methods to fix the issues with the Eufy app:

Check for app update

Outdated apps can malfunction. Head to your app store and search for Eufy Security. If an update is available, download and install it. This often resolves bugs and ensures compatibility with your device’s latest software.

Check internet connection

Both the app and your camera need a stable internet connection. Ensure your WiFi is working properly. Check your signal strength and data plan limitations if you’re using cellular data. To isolate the issue, try connecting to a different network.

Restart the device

Sometimes a simple restart is all it takes to clear up temporary glitches that might be causing the Eufy app to malfunction. Power cycle your phone by completely turning it off and then on again.

Clear app cache

Built-up app data can sometimes cause issues. On Android devices, try clearing the Eufy app’s cache. On iPhones, you can offload the app, which removes temporary data while keeping your settings and data intact.

For iPhone

Go to Settings > General > iPhone > Offload App to offload an app and clear the cache.

Reinstall the app

If you have tried all the above methods and Eufy is still not working, consider reinstalling the app. This will wipe away any corrupted data and ensure a clean installation. Remember to log in again after reinstalling.

Contact Eufy support

If reinstalling also didn’t resolve the issue, contact Eufy’s customer support team for assistance. They can provide personalised troubleshooting guidance and escalate the issue if necessary.
