Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms of our time and is showing no signs of slowing down. While the platform does have a number of options for sharing your life with your friends, the good old status update is still one of the better ways.

Blank posts on Facebook
Usually, Facebook won’t let you post a blank status, however, using a few special characters, you can post blank statuses and comments.
Using escape characters
You can quickly post a blank status or comment using special escape characters.
Step 1: Open Facebook and create a new post.

Step 2: Copy and paste the string below in the comment box. You can paste it in multiple lines to add more blank lines to your status or comment.
@[0:0 ]

Step 3: Click on Post to update your status.

Do keep in mind that this method doesn’t work on the Facebook app, but it’ll work just fine if you use Facebook from a browser on your phone.

Using blank spaces
You can also copy and paste a lot of blank spaces from your clipboard to post a blank comment or status. This method works on the Facebook app as well. Just follow these steps.
Step 1: Open Facebook and create a new post.

Step 2: Copy and paste the string below in the comment box. Make sure you don’t copy the square brackets, only the spaces inside them.
[ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀]

Step 3: Click on Post to update your status.

One drawback of this method is that you can’t create multiple blank lines in your post or comment.
For blank comments only
If you just want to post a quick blank comment, you can do so by using the following key combination.
Alt+0137
This will add an invisible character to your comment letting you post empty comments.
