Caller tunes are a great way to flaunt your love for music. Gone are the days when you would have to empty your pockets for a caller tune. Now, thanks to the internet revolution, you can apply the caller tune for free.

In this article, we will explain to the Jio users how you can activate, change and remove the caller tune.

How to activate Jio caller tune? 

You can activate Jio caller tune in four ways.

Using MyJio app

If you have MyJio app, follow the steps given below to activate caller tune.

• Open MyJio app.
• On the top left corner, tap on the hamburger menu.
• Tap on JioTunes.
• Search the songs and then tap on Set as Jio Tune.

You will get a message that Your request to activate Jio Tune has been taken successfully. Simultaneously, you will receive an SMS confirming the activation of JioTunes on your mobile.

Using JioSaavn app

You can also activate the caller tune with the help of JioSaavn app. To set the caller tune using the JioSaavn app, follow the instructions given below.

• Open JioSaavn app.
• Search and play for the song that you want as a caller tune.
• Now, tap on Set JioTune button to make the song as your caller tune.

Note: Some songs are not available for caller tune. However, you can search for the available songs and can set then as your caller tune.

Through SMS service

You can also set the caller tune with a simple SMS. To set the caller tune with an SMS, follow the instructions given below.

• SMS JT to 56789, to explore the JioTunes.
• Now, to search the songs follow the instructions given in the return SMS.

To search for a Bollywood song, press 1.

To search for a regional song, press 2.

For international songs, press 3.

Moreover, you can even search the song by typing the name of the song, movie, album and singer.

• To search by song name, type the first three words of the song and then send the SMS.
• To search the song by naming a movie, type MOVIE<space>movie_name, and then send the SMS.
• If you know the album, then reply the SMS with ALBUM<space>album_name.
• Or, you can search for the singer instead, by sending SINGER<space>singer_name.

After you have selected the song, press 1 again to confirm and you will receive a confirmation SMS. You can check the screenshot above to get an idea.

Copy other’s caller tune

If you got a call from someone and you liked their caller tune, press the asterisk (*) button to coly the Jio tune.

After that, you will receive SMS asking for your consent, after which you will receive the confirmation SMS.

How to change the caller tune?

To change the caller tune, you will need MyJio app. Follow the steps given below to change the caller tune.

• Open MyJio app.
• On the top left corner, tap on the hamburger menu.
• Tap on JioTunes.
• After that, tap on Change JioTune.

• Select/search the song.
• Tap on Set as JioTune.

Your caller tune will change to the song that you have selected.

How to remove the caller tune? 

You can remove the caller tune in two ways — By sending an SMS and by using MyJio app. Read further to find out the procedure.

Via SMS

To remove the caller tune, follow the instructions given below.

• Open the messaging app on your phone.
• Type STOP and send it to 56789.

You will receive an SMS asking for your confirmation. Reply the SMS by pressing 1. You will then receive a confirmation SMS which reads something like this: JioTunes services have been deactivated on your number. You can reactivate the services anytime by sending JT to 56789. Check out the screenshot above.

Using MyJio app

If you want to remove the caller tune by using MyJio app, follow the instructions given below.

• Open MyJio app.
• On the top left corner, tap on the hamburger menu.
• Tap on JioTunes from the drop-down menu.
• Here, under the MY SUBSCRIPTION heading, you can see the caller tune.
• Tap on Deactivate JioTune and then press Yes to confirm.

The caller tune will be removed.
