Contact customer support

You can ask to delete your Pay Later account by contacting customer support. Here’s how you can do it:

  • Open the Flipkart app, tap the Account tab, and then tap the Help Centre option at the top.
  • Scroll through the options and tap on I want help with other issues.
  • On the next screen, tap on Others under the Select an issue section
  • Tap on Other.
  • Tap on Contact Us then you will get an option for Chat or Callback. Choose one option as per your convenience and ask customer service to close your Flipkart Pay Later account permanently.

Your Flipkart Pay Later account will be removed within a month, and it will show up as closed on your CIBIL report in the following 3-4 months.


Send an email to Flipkart support

You also have the option to close the account by sending an email to the Flipkart support team. Here’s how you can do it:

  • Open your email and compose an email to Cs@flipkart.com.
  • Write a subject like ‘Request for closing Flipkart Pay Later’ and start composing the mail.
  • You can write something like Hi, My name is xyz, my Flipkart registered mobile number is xx3x5-6xxx0 and I want to close the buy now pay later account. Please help me do so as soon as possible, Thanks.

After you send them an email, one of their team members will either respond to you via email or call you on your registered phone number.


Contact RBI Ombudsman

The Reserve Bank of India’s Ombudsman can handle complaints and worries regarding financial services, including your Flipkart Pay Later account. You can send your problem to them, explaining the situation and the actions you’ve already taken. Just gather all the necessary details before reaching out to the ombudsman for grievance resolution.


Things to remember before closing the account

  • To ensure a seamless closure process, settle all remaining balances before you close your Flipkart Pay Later account.
  • Once you’ve asked for your account to be closed, expect to receive a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your Flipkart Pay Later lending provider (IDFC First Bank) within 2-3 weeks. If you haven’t received it by then, feel free to contact the Flipkart help centre for assistance.
  • Remember that once you’ve closed your Flipkart Pay Later account, it’s a permanent decision. You won’t be able to reapply for It in the future.
