Uninstalling apps on your Fire TV
Uninstalling extra or unwanted apps on your Fire TV is a piece of a cake divided into two parts as given below:
Through settings
You can uninstall any app via settings on your Fire TV by following the given steps:
Step 1: At the home page, head to and click on the gear icon for settings on the far right side of your screen. Click on the Applications option.
Step 2: From the options provided, you can click on Manage Installed Applications. You will be given a list of currently installed apps.
Step 3: From the list, you can choose any application that you would like to delete.
Step 4: Now, you can either force stop the app to halt it from running. However, before uninstalling the app, make sure that you clear its cache and data.
Through app library
If you want to avoid the long process of heading to the settings to uninstall an app, you can click on the square icon before the gear icon. You can uninstall any app on your Fire TV by following the given steps:
Step 1: At the home page, head to and click on the three boxes icon on the far right side of your screen. Select My Apps.
Step 2: You can now locate the app that you want to delete and press the menu button or the button with three horizontal white lines to open up options on the right side of your screen. The select Uninstall.
