How to minimise Discord?

Discord is one of the most popular VoIP programs around at the moment. The app initially started as a chat app for gamers but has evolved into a much broader platform since then.

However, as popular as the program might be, it isn’t immune to bugs and glitches. In this article, we’re talking about how you can fix Discord being stuck in full-screen mode.

Fixing the full screen problem

Here are a few fixes you can try to get Discord minimised.

Try restarting your PC

The first thing you should do is try and restart your PC. Restarting your PC or any other device for that matter can resolve several bugs and glitches somewhat magically.

Use shortcuts

Discord has a ton of shortcuts for everyday actions like muting, deafening and so on. As you can guess, there’s a shortcut for making Discord full screen as well. This shortcut is also used to exit the fullscreen mode.

Try pressing Ctrl + Shift + F to see if Discord exits the fullscreen mode. If it does, you’re good to go.

Use normal Window interaction

If the keyboard shortcut didn’t work for you, you could try to minimise Discord using the normal Window interaction buttons in the top right. Just click the minimise or windowed buttons in the top right to see if that fixes your problem.

Use Windows shortcuts

If Discord shortcuts don’t do the trick for you, you can try using Windows shortcuts to see if that works for you. You can use Windows shortcuts to move an active window or even minimise the running program. For example, press the Windows + Down Arrow keys to see if you can minimise Discord or the Windows + Left Arrow or Windows + Right Arrow keys to move the Discord window around to use standard Windows interactions.

Reopen Discord
