The Chromebook is a portable computing device similar to a laptop’s design and hardware. Regarding software, it runs on a Linux-based Chrome OS instead of the MacOS and Windows operating systems found in most traditional laptops.
Chromebooks are meant to be lighter and more portable than traditional laptops and, thus, are more suited for web-based and Android applications. They might not be ideal for heavy apps and functions like those used for gaming or graphic design.
One would need a Google account to sign into a Chromebook, although it is possible to use the device without an account through the Browse as Guest feature. If you have signed in with your Google account and want to sign out of your Chromebook, this article will guide you through the steps. We will also cover a few other functions like removing and adding accounts browsing as a guest and signing out of Chromebook through another device.
