Fortnite is one of the most popular battle royale games in the world. While Fortnite, or just about any game, is supposed to be a fun experience, toxic players exist in every multiplayer game. Thankfully, like most games, Fortnite also has built-in features to protect gamers from such players, including blocking them completely.

In this article, we’re taking a look at how to unblock someone on Fortnite.

Unblocking Fortnite players

Unblocking players is actually a rather simple process in Fortnite. However, the game hides blocked users from your friend list by default. So before you can unblock them, you need to revert that setting. Here’s how.

Step 1: Open the game and head over to the lobby. After that, select your friends list in the top right corner.

Step 2: Click Settings in the top right again.

Step 3: Uncheck the Hide Blocked Players option.

Step 4: Head back to your friend list and click the Blocked Players button at the bottom.

Step 5: Right-click the player you want to unblock and click the Unblock option.

And that’s all you need to do to unblock players on Fortnite.

Unblocking players on Epic Games Launcher

Alternatively, you can also unblock (or unblock) players outside of Fortnite in the Epic Games Launcher. Here’s how.

Step 1: Launch Epic Games Launcher and click the Friends icon in the top right.

Step 2: In the Add Friends tab, search for the name of the player you want to unblock. Click the search result, followed by More options.

Step 3: Click the red Unblock button and you’re good to go.

And just like that, the selected player will now be unblocked from your Epic Games account meaning you can communicate with them outside of games as well. Do keep in mind that you’ll have to add them as an Epic Games friend again.
