Does Monster Hunter Rise support cross-platform play?

Unfortunately, Monster Hunter Rise does not allow crossplay between PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation. This means that if you are playing on Xbox, your cooperative hunting is limited to other Xbox players and doesn’t extend to those on PC, Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation.

However, it’s worth noting that Monster Hunter Rise does support cross-generation play. So, if you and your hunting buddies are on the same platform, you can team up regardless of the specific console generation. For example, if you are on PlayStation 4, you can join forces with PlayStation 5 players. Similarly, if you are on Xbox One, you can collaborate with Xbox Series X/S users.

Does Monster Hunter Rise support cross-save?

No, Monster Hunter Rise doesn’t offer cross-save functionality, meaning you can’t save your progress and pick up where you left off on different platforms like Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or PC. In simpler terms, if you’re playing Monster Hunter Rise on a PlayStation, you can’t transfer your save and continue the game on an Xbox console, PC, or Nintendo Switch.

Capcom has made it clear that they won’t be incorporating cross-play and cross-save features into Monster Hunter Rise. Fans may anticipate these features in the next instalment of the series, which could potentially be a sequel to Monster Hunter World.
