Linux Mint is one of the lightest yet powerful and easy to use free Linux distributions, which is based on Debian and Ubuntu and works out-of-the-box and provides full multimedia support too. Moreover, it has a helpful community, which is really supportive even if you’re a beginner working with Linux for the first time.

If you’re looking to switch from your current OS to a lighter Linux distribution or want to set up Linux Mint on a secondary PC and try it out, here are the system requirements for Linux Mint 3 Cindy through Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia, as well as the official download links for all the versions.

The 64-bit ISO for Linux Mint can boot with BIOS or UEFI while the 32-bit ISO can only boot with BIOS. If you bought your PC after 2007, most probably it’s powered by a 64-bit processor, so download the 64-bit version of Mint Cinnamon.
