Netflix is a leading streaming service around the globe; it offers various features and one of them is the ‘Continue Watching’ feature, a handy tool for users to pick up where they left off in their favourite shows and movies. However, some users face an issue where the continue watching section disappears.

If your continue watching section has disappeared, this article discusses various ways to help you regain it.

Various ways to get Continue watching back

Here are a few ways that might help you get the Continue Watching section back:

Check the internet connection

A poor internet connection can sometimes lead to display issues on streaming platforms. Ensure your internet connection is stable and fast enough to stream content smoothly. A slow or unstable connection can cause features like Continue Watching to disappear temporarily.

There are no titles in the list

No more shows or movies could be left for the Continue Watching list to show. If you have a shared account, maybe your friend finished the movie you both watched. Also, some people noticed that it might not show up when there’s only one thing on the list.

Titles are not available anymore

Netflix is like a big library of movies and TV shows. They have their special shows called Originals, but most of the stuff you watch is made by other companies. Netflix made a deal with these companies to show those movies and shows. This deal lets them put a movie or show on Netflix for a while, but after some time, they must take it off.

So, if you were watching something and it disappeared from your Continue Watching list, it’s probably because Netflix’s deal to show that movie or show ran out, and they had to remove it.

Logout of all devices

If you logged in to Netflix on multiple devices and have access to them, log out from all of them. Netflix may show this error if you have logged in on multiple devices. Many users facing this issue have fixed this error by logging out of other devices.

Step 1: Open Netflix.com and sign in to your account.

Step 2: Hover over your Profile Picture at the top right corner of the screen, then in the dropdown menu, click on the Account option.

Disable VPN

If you use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to access Netflix, the Continue Watching feature may disappear because of this. Some VPNs may interfere with Netflix’s features. Try turning off your VPN and see if the feature returns.

Try another browser or device

It might not be Netflix’s fault that you can’t find the Continue Watching list. It could be a problem with the web browser or the device you’re using to watch Netflix. Just try opening Netflix using a different web browser, like Edge or Brave, and see if that works and try using other devices to use Netflix.
