Check whether other devices on your network can access the internet without any issues. If you’re using WiFi, restart your router or connect via Ethernet cable for a more stable connection.

Restart the device

Restarting your device can sometimes fix underlying issues affecting the Roblox client’s performance. Shut down your device entirely, wait a few seconds, and then power it back on. This simple action can clear out temporary system data and refresh your network connections, which might help to solve Error Code 279.

Allow the Roblox through the firewall

If your firewall is causing the problem, adjusting the settings has often proven effective for users attempting to unblock games. It could be worth giving it a shot to see if it helps. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Press the Windows + I  key to open Windows settings and click the Update & Security option. 

Step 2: Click on Windows Security in the sidebar and then click on Firewall & network protection on the right side.

Step 4: In the window of the allowed app, click on the Change Settings button; this will allow you to edit the settings.

Step 5: Scroll down and find the Roblox and checkmark boxes for both private and public beside the Sea of Thieves, then click the OK button.
